Cercula has joined Wates as part of their start-up engagement initiative, the Wates Innovation Network (WIN). After passing through the pitch competition and the Technical Advisory Panel judging process, Cercula has succeeded in joining the final selected start-ups that will be working with Wates for more sustainable building.
Established in 1897, and celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2022, the Wates Group is one of the leading privately-owned construction, residential development, and property services businesses in the UK. Wates employs 3810 people and have a forward order book of £7.1 billion for 2021.
Cercula is looking forward to working with Wates, offering Carbon metric analysis on some of their low-rise residential projects.
Dr Zainab Dangana, leader of the WIN project when speaking about Cercula said, ‘we really rated your product and think it will be a good fit with some of our projects. … we think you would make a real asset to work alongside us in the future.’
Together with Wates we hope to develop easy-to-implement carbon measurement processes and deliver embodied carbon analysis case studies that are helpful to the low-rise residential sector, and the wider industry.
